Meet the Kyle Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door
We’re a small crew, and that’s on purpose. Every person who shows up at your door in Kyle, Buda, or San Marcos lives in Hays County, knows the limestone soil and the brutal August heat, and answers to Otto Reinhardt directly. No layers, no call center, no stranger who read about your door in a file five minutes ago. The person who picks up the phone is likely the person standing in your driveway an hour later. That’s how it has worked since 2004, and it’s why a garage door company with a palindrome name keeps getting calls from three generations of the same families.
Our People
Marcus T. - Lead Technician
Marcus has been turning wrenches on garage doors for 17 years, the last 11 of them with us. He’s the guy who can diagnose a spring’s remaining cycles by listening to it from across the garage. LiftMaster, Genie, Chamberlain, Clopay - if it hangs on a track, Marcus has rebuilt it. He holds certifications across all major opener and door brands and is the person Otto trusts to train every new hire who comes through. Outside work, Marcus coaches his daughter’s soccer team in Plum Creek and is unbeatable at brisket, which the crew reminds him of constantly.
Elena R. - Senior Installer
Elena has been installing residential doors with our crew for 9 years. She’s meticulous about weight distribution, track alignment, and the cleanest caulk lines you’ll ever see on a weather seal. Before garage doors, she ran finish carpentry, and it shows in her installs - tight miters, level tracks, no shortcuts. Elena handles most of our full-door replacements in Kyle and the surrounding communities, from measure to final balance test. She keeps a running list of the best breakfast tacos in the county and will happily argue about it with anyone who asks.
Diane W. - Service Coordinator
Diane is the voice on the phone at 4 p.m. on a Tuesday and sometimes at 2 a.m. when a spring lets go and someone’s truck is trapped inside. She has been with us for 7 years and knows the schedule, the neighborhoods, and which technician lives closest to your street. Diane quotes jobs on the call and holds that number - it’s written down before anyone hangs up. She’s the gatekeeper of the 90-Day Done Right Promise and the reason our callback list is short. When she’s not working, she’s running trail races along the Plum Creek Greenbelt.
Jordan P. - Apprentice Technician
Jordan is two years in and learning fast. He assists Marcus and Elena on repairs and installs, handles parts inventory, and studies the brand manuals like they’re textbooks - because to him they are. He already knows his way around a torsion spring safety check and can recalibrate a Chamberlain opener with his eyes half closed, though he’ll tell you he’s still learning. Jordan grew up in Kyle, went to Lehman High, and joined us after asking too many garage door questions from the customer side. We hired him before someone else did.
One Standard, Every Job
The rule is simple: the name on the van is the same as the name on the invoice and the name on the license. Otto Reinhardt has been owner-operator since 2004, and that matters to every member of this crew. When one of us backs out of your driveway, we know we’ll see you at H-E-B on Saturday, at the high school game Friday night, at church on Sunday. Small-town accountability isn’t a marketing line here - it’s a fact of geography. Every job carries the 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing, and if something isn’t right, one call brings one of us back. Not a queue. Not a case number. A person who remembers your name and your door’s history. Background-checked, uniformed, trained on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor - because those are the doors on houses in this county, and somebody has to stand behind the work. We do.
